Climb Out of the Darkness is committed to bringing people together to honor the struggle to overcome perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). We promote awareness, prevention, and treatment of mental health issues related to childbearing in every country worldwide. We support moms & dads, community programs, and healthcare providers.
The 2018 Climb Out of the Darkness is Saturday, June 23 in Middleton, WI. The Climb will begin at Common Ground (2644 Branch Street, Middleton) at 9am with coffee & pastries and activities for adults and kids. At 10am will take a short hike through Pheasant Branch Conservancy, then return to Common Ground for lunch. (Food & beverages courtesy of Common Ground!)
This is Madison's fifth COTD event! We are incredibly proud of how much the event has grown and are happy to have seen continued improvements in terms of local postpartum support for families over the past 5 years.
Please join us on Climb day! Registration is FREE; everyone in the community is welcome to attend, so invite your friends and family. Fundraising is not required, but everyone who raises $100 by June 1st will receive a free 2018 Climb shirt:
We encourage you to make a donation to our cause on behalf of a family member, friend, or in recognition of your own personal journey. Seventy-five percent of your donation will stay right here in our area supporting a local organization MAPS (Madison Area Parent Support), while the remaining twenty-five percent will go to support Postpartum Support International, the nonprofit that owns and operates the Climb Out of the Darkness program.
THANK YOU! To this year's sponsors:
