Hello all! My name is Lexi Ramirez, and I am the Climb Leader for Lehi, Utah (Utah Valley)! I struggled with severe Postpartum Depression and Anxiety during my son’s first year. Gratefully, I have been recovered for about two years now! Because I have survived, I want to support other women who have struggled with PPD in any way I can!
Climb Out of the Darkness is a special hike organized by Postpartum Support International (a world-wide non-profit organization) that brings survivors, family, and friends together to support those who are struggling with Postpartum Depression and other similar illnesses. This is the sixth annual Climb Out of the Darkness, always held near the longest day of the year to shine the most possible light on maternal mental illness.
I have decided to join the cause by hosting a hike locally in Utah Valley! We will meet at the Battle Creek Falls Trail near Pleasant Grove at 9 AM on Saturday, June 16th. It will be an uplifting experience definitely worth your time! Please come and bring your friends and family!
It would mean so much to me if you could donate towards my fundraising! The funds will go directly to the Utah Chapter of Postpartum Support International that works to help women with PPD and other similar issues receive the treatment and support that they need here locally in Utah. If you aren't able to donate, I completely understand, and I would love for you and your family to still join us at the hike! Any questions? Let me know!
THANKS!!!
Lexi Ramirez
