Climb Out of the Darkness is committed to bring people together, united, to honor the struggle to overcome PMADs. We promote awareness, prevention and treatment of mental health issues related to childbearing in every country worldwide. We support moms & dads, community programs and healthcare providers.

By leading a Climb this year we hope to shed light on the fact that postpartum depression is the #1 complication of childbirth, and that 1 in 7 mothers will suffer with a PMAD. We are also looking forward to raising funds so our PSI-GA chapter can continue to make an impact in the lives of the families who do desperately need it. 100% of what our team raises (minus CauseVox’s administrative fee), will go directly to our state chapter. Please consider joining our team (or making a donation) for this event on Saturday, June 23rd at 9 am 5k run lead by Stroller Strong Mom Organization. Event meeting place 10 am 1329 Wynnton Road. This where all end the race and there will be fun family friendly activities and a drawing for multiple prizes.

Here is your chance to make a difference. Climb Out of the Darkness is held on the longest day of the year. Teams and their supporters gather to climb out of the darkness by walking, climbing, or hiking together for these goals:
1. To bring families together, united, to honor the struggle to overcome mood disorders
2. To promote awareness, prevention and treatment of mental health issues related to childbearing in every country worldwide
3. To raise funds to support the professional community and the public right here in Georgia (because our team is associated with a local chapter, 100% of the funds raised will stay right here in our community)
