Thank you for visiting the Team Savannah page for Climb Out of the Darkness!

We are so excited to host this event in Savannah for the first time ever this year. Climb Out of the Darkness is held annually around the globe on or near the longest day of the year to shine the most light on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). Postpartum depression is the #1 complication of childbirth, and 1 in 5 mothers will suffer with a PMAD.

Please consider joining our team (or making a donation) for this event on Saturday, June 23rd at 10am at Lake Mayer Community Park in Savannah.

Our team and supporters will climb out of the darkness by walking together for these goals:

 1. To bring families together, united, to honor the struggle to overcome and reduce stigma around maternal mental health disorders
2. To promote awareness, prevention and treatment of mental health issues related to childbearing in every country worldwide
3. To raise funds to support the maternal mental health community right here in Georgia.

The Savannah team is associated with our local Georgia chapter of Postpartum Support International so 100% of the funds raised will stay right here in our state. For more information, click here: www.psiga.org

This is your chance to make a difference for our moms and families!

#climbout

The Savannah team welcomes all families regardless of partnership status, family structure, sexual orientation, gender identity, or whether they identify as biological or adoptive.

Please note: we’re sad to report that dogs are not allowed on walking trails at Lake Mayer.
