The Climb Out of the Darkness is committed to bring people together, united, to honor the struggle to overcome PMADs.  We promote awareness, prevention and treatment of mental health issues related to childbearing in every country worldwide. We support moms & dads, community programs and healthcare providers.

Team Phoenix, AZ  will continue to support our local health care providers here in Phoenix (East and West Valley) by fundraising on behalf of Women's Health Innovations of Arizona test%2F1516813025202-WHI+logo.png

Seventy five percent of your donation will support Women's Health Innovations of Arizona and it's programs, the remaining twenty five percent will go to support Postpartum Support International, the nonprofit that owns and operates the Climb Out of the Darkness program.

WHI of AZ Programs

  • Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders
We offer specialized treatment and support for maternal mental health disorders. Our highly-trained team includes peer perinatal coaches who walk alongside women and their families helping to navigate the available resources community wide. Our focus is on meeting the needs of underserved and/or uninsured pregnant, postpartum and parenting families.
  • Spouse & Family Support
At WHI of Arizona, we treat women and families as a team. Perinatal Mood or Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) are never an isolated problem to be dealt with as an individual. We believe in a collaborative approach involving the entire family. Our treatment may include couples counseling, support groups, psychiatry, healthy family home visits, and more.
  • Substance Use & Parenting
Parental substance use can affect prenatal development, as well early childhood and adolescent development. The parent may have difficulty in assuming a parental role. Our professionals have experience in counseling such families and focus on building resiliency within the family while demonstrating effective coping skills for each individual.
WHI of Arizona's efforts assist families here in Arizona that are in most need. These providers are doing such important work to fill in a gap in healthcare that has been going on for far too long. Let's end the stigma, shed light on Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, and make it easier for our friends, family, and even for our children to never have to feel ashamed about getting professional help for mental illness!

Please join us on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 at 3pm, Desert Breeze Park 660 North Desert Breeze Blvd. E, Chandler, AZ, for a lovely walk to help support and raise awareness for Maternal Mental Health. If you can't walk, please feel free to donate to our team page and help us raise much needed funds and end the stigma of mental health issues.
