Hi everyone, my name is Amy. I am a mother of two and a Maternal Mental Health Advocate in the state of GA. I am SO excited be leading "Team Cumming-Georgia" in another Climb this year! Last year, my team and I were able to raise just over $2,000 to help our PSI GA Chapter create and fund programs for mothers and families in our local communities.

This year my goal is $2,000, and I know with your help I can reach it! Educating mother's and providers about the symptoms and risk factors of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) like postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety are a tremendous passion of mine. I am a survivor of both, and without the help and intervention of amazing organizations like PSI (Postpartum Support international), I would have never fully recovered.

By leading another Climb this year I hope to shed even more light on the fact that postpartum depression is the #1 complication after childbirth, and that 1 in 7 mothers will suffer with a PMAD. I’m also looking forward to raising more funds so our PSI-GA chapter can continue to make an impact in the lives of the families who do desperately need it. Just as last year, 100% of what my team and I raise (minus CauseVox’s administrative fee), will go directly to our state chapter. We will walk around the paved walking path, so strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. There will be several prize giveaways for moms, dads, kids, and friends, as well as some fun activities for the kids.
