15-20% of all women will suffer from a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder (like postpartum anxiety or postpartum depression). That's 1 in every 7 women, each year. YOU can help support, encourage, and raise awareness for the women, men, and families tackling these challenges. Together, we can CLIMB OUT!!

Please join us on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 10:00 am at Herrick Lake as we Climb Out of the Darkness together and raise awareness of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs).  We will meet at the West Shelter and walk a 2.25 mile stroller friendly path.  test%2F1524867344079-Close+up+of+location.pngIf you're only up for a shorter climb, there's an option to end early after about 1 mile. Bring a picnic lunch and join us in the West Shelter and West Picnic Areas after the climb to celebrate our accomplishments, share our struggles, and encourage one another!

If you're on Facebook, please be sure to follow our Climb out of the Darkness - Chicago West Suburbs page for the most frequent updates, celebrations, inspiration, and information!

Climb Out of the Darkness® is the world’s largest international event raising awareness of maternal mental illnesses like postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety and OCD, postpartum post-traumatic stress, postpartum psychosis, perinatal bipolar mood disorders, and pregnancy depression and anxiety.
